Timber of the Juniper is a white aromatic sapwood with a brown heartwood, it is a durable and fairly strong wood.  Uses of wood include the produce of charcoal, small amounts used for pencils and small items and it has been used to smoke meat.    Juniper oil is distilled from its berries, and the berries are also used to flavour game.
